NEW DELHI: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh will resume offline classes for MTech students for the academic session 2021-23. The institute has invited the first year MTech students on campus from September 1. The offline classes will resume after a mandatory quarantine period of two weeks, according to the official statement.

The institute has added two more specializations in MTech courses, Bioprocess Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The 46 students admitted this year will be the second batch of MTech.

At the inaugural session, CSP Rao, director, NIT Andhra Pradesh said, “You will study different subjects in every semester. You have to explore each subject of your interest to its depth. Teachers and parents can guide you but ultimately it will be you who will be designing your future. I am sure you are in the position to make your future. I only request you not to waste time. The things you will lose today cannot be gained tomorrow because tomorrow, there will be several other things to do.”

Last year, the MTech programme included specialisations in geotechnical engineering, computer science and data analytics, power electronics and drive, advanced communication system and signal processing, thermal engineering and manufacturing engineering.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers BTech programmes in eight engineering branches including Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
