PGI to conduct offline PGIMER 2020 MD/MS counselling; Know the guidelines
NEW DELHI: PGI Chandigarh to conduct the third round of PGIMER 2020 counselling in offline mode. The shortlisted aspirants who have not been allotted a seat have to report at Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER Chandigarh on July 24, 2020, at 11:00 AM. PGI Chandigarh has released the vacant seats available for round three of counselling on the official website pgimer.edu.in. The public notice for the third round of allotment also mentioned special COVID-19 PGIMER counselling guidelines, which must be followed by all candidates.
Aspirants who secured minimum percentile in their respective category - Gen/Sponsored - 55 and PwBD/RA/SC/ ST/OBC - 50 in the entrance exam held on June 14, 2020, are eligible to attend offline counselling. Through the third round of counselling, admission will be granted to 181 Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) seats.
Important documents to carry at the counselling venue
Aspirants can go through the below-mentioned documents which need to be carried in original at the offline PGIMER counselling venue. For a safer side, it is advised to carry a set of self-attested photocopies.
Offline PGIMER 2020 counselling guidelines
Applicant personal appearance is mandatory at the counselling venue.
Candidates coming for counselling from states other than Chandigarh Tricity should either have to return within 72 hours to avoid 14 days quarantine or should come prepared to join the course.
Aspirants have to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing.
Candidates are advised not to accompany more than one person in the counselling hall.
Aspirants whose seats will be allotted, so in order to confirm the seats, aspirants have to deposit the requisite fee of Rs. 2,485.
Such aspirants are required to join the allotted institutes before July 28, 2020, by 1:00 PM.
