SASTRA University releases admission rank list 2020
NEW DELHI: SASTRA University released the rank list for admission to various Engineering and Law programmes for the academic year 2020-21 on July 31 (9 PM). Candidates can check the detailed rank list on the official website, sastra.edu. In stream 1, 70 percent of the seats are offered on the basis of JEE Main first session and +2 marks, while in stream 2, 30 percent of seats are offered on the basis of +2 marks. For the law programmes, the authorities released the merit list on the basis of +2 aggregate.
In stream 1, Narasimhan Srikanth of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chennai has secured first rank in the All India Category with a combined score of 99.2462. In stream 2, Dyuthi Thampan from GMMGHS, Palakkad has secured first rank with a total score of 1191 out of 1200.
Students from various states like Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Bihar, Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, etc. have registered for admission. Candidates were allowed to submit the online applications till July 31 (5 PM).
Students from Jammu & Kashmir, North-Eastern & Himalayan States and Andaman will be admitted under a special category and 30 percent of seats are allotted for students from Trichy & Thanjavur districts. The online orientation for the freshers will start from August 30, 2020.
