SRM University-AP records 100 percent placements for its first batch
More than 600 companies visited the campus and hired students for multiple job profiles with the highest package being Rs 50 lakh per annum.
NEW DELHI: SRM University, Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) in its maiden placement drive has recorded 100 percent placements for its first graduation batch.
While the average annual package for the batch was Rs 7 lakh per annum, the average package offered to students from the department of computer science and engineering was Rs 8 lakh per annum. Furthermore, twin brothers Saptarshi and Rajarshi from the engineering department of the university secured a pay package of Rs 50 lakhs each from the same organisation - PVP Inc, a strategic partner of Google Japan. This is the highest pay package so far for the students graduating from Andhra Pradesh.
Many leading international and domestic companies have recruited students from the first batch of the campus.
VS Rao, Vice-Chancellor of SRMAP praised the students who excelled in the placement drive and gave them a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh each. “We are working with a vision to offer quality engineers, entrepreneurs, and professionals to the country. In our maiden placement drive, our graduates have made the university a favourable destination for top industrial recruiters. SRM University-AP is proud of its first graduating batch with a 100% placement record, with most students getting multiple offers from reputed companies,” said Rao.
He added “71% of students got marquee, super dream, and dream offers of Rs 20+, Rs 10+ and Rs 5+ lakhs, respectively; and 600+ companies visited the university for recruitment. Top recruiters include Amazon, PayPal, Barclay, American Express, Bank America, Walmart, AB InBev, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, L&T, AIS, JSW and Adani. The students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering have bagged an attractive average salary of ₹ 8 lakh per annum.”
