Teerthanker Mahaveer University organises convocation ceremony; Nearly 6,000 students receive degrees

NEW DELHI: Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) of Moradabad organised a convocation ceremony for a total of 5,988 of its graduated students on Saturday. The students of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 batch were awarded their degrees at the convocation ceremony.

The chief guest of the ceremony was Uttar Pradesh, chief minister, Yogi Adityanath. Meanwhile the Minister of finance and parliamentary affairs of UP, Suresh Kumar Khanna was present as the guest of honour. The Uttar Pradesh state president of BJP, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary also attended the TMU convocation 2023.

The convocation began with TMU, chancellor, Suresh Jain welcoming the chief guests followed by a lamp lighting ceremony. Following this, CM Adityanath addressed the students and congratulated them. In his address, the UP chief minister emphasised that India can become a global superpower with the efforts of all the graduate students.

He further suggested that the students should interact with industry professionals and advised the researchers to continue their research works in their respective fields. TMU, director, Abhishek Kapoor, university along with registrar, Aditya Sharma and dean Manjula Jain were also present.

In his opening speech, TMU, vice-chancellor, Professor Raghuvir Singh said: “TMU always focuses on providing holistic education to its students. The university promotes research, entrepreneurial skills and professional ethics required to succeed in an increasingly interconnected and globalised world”. Chancellor Jain stated, “The university is dynamic and research-intensive, committed to develop life-saving discoveries and new technologies to tackle global challenges”.
