NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) has notified admission commencement for the academic year 2023-24, today, May 9, 2023. The notification states that all students who are interested in pursuing a 5-year integrated law degree can apply for admission to courses through online mode at tndalu.ac.in. The admission process will begin on May 15 and the last application date is May 31.

As per the notification, TNDALU will offer admission into Perungudi Campus, and in the affiliated law colleges. Interested candidates must note that the application can only be submitted online and the payment can only be made through an online payment gateway. NRI candidates must get an admission form from the law admission office after paying the form fee.

Offered courses

The School of Excellence in Law in Preungudi Campus will offer the following courses:

BA LLB (Hons)

BBA LLB (Hons)

BCom LLB (Hons)

BCA LLB (Hons)

The application processing fee for these courses for SC and ST applicants is Rs 500, while applicants from other categories need to pay Rs 1000. NRI applicants must pay USD 200 through demand draft in favour of “The Registrar”.

The affiliated law colleges (government and private) offer BA LLB. The application processing fee for these courses for SC and ST applicants is Rs 250, while applicants from other categories need to pay Rs 500.

Qualifying exam requirement

Students aspiring to be admitted in any of the five integrated law degrees in Perungudi Campus or affiliated law colleges need to have completed HSC or CBSE or ISC or 3 Year Diploma or Polytechnic from recognised educational institution.

Further, those wanting admission to BCom LLB should have studied commerce or an equivalent subject similar to commerce, while those wanting admission to BCA LLB should have studied computer science or an equivalent subject during the higher secondary level. The minimum eligible marks requirement is 60% for SC and ST and 70% for other categories, including NRI in the Perungudi campus, while for admission in affiliated law colleges, it is 40% for SC and ST and 45% for other categories.

Mode of Selection

As per the TNDALU’s official notice, the candidates who apply for any of the 5-year integrated law degrees will be selected based on merit in qualifying degree and rules of reservation by the Tamil Nadu government.

As per the TNDALU notice, the admission notification for BA LLB (3 years) and LLM (2 years) will be issued shortly.
