NEW DELHI: Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination also known as UCEED paves the way to Bachelor of Design (BDes) admission at top the IITs. The design entrance exam is conducted once in a year at national level in multiple test centres. Consistent preparation and a clear cut exam strategy goes a long way toward clearing the UCEED exam.

Students who aspire to study BDes courses at IITs to build a career in design must appear for UCEED 2022. The registration process for UCEED can be done online at uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED Exam Pattern 2022

Aspirants can kick start their preparation for UCEED 2022 by following an effective exam strategy to ace the design entrance exam with flying colours. It is significant for the aspirants to get a thorough understanding of the UCEED 2022 exam pattern.

The UCEED exam consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. UCEED part A is a computer based test while part B will be held in pen and paper mode. UCEED part A further consists of three sections - numerical answer type question (NAT), multiple select question (MSQ) and multiple choice question (MCQ). Candidates will get 3 hours to complete 69 questions carrying a maximum 300 marks.

  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

  • For each correct response, candidates will get four marks.

  • +3 marks will be given if all the four given options are correct but only three right options are chosen.

  • +1 marks will be allotted if two/more options are correct but only one right option is chosen.

  • Zero marks if none of the options is chosen.

  • -1 mark will be deducted in all the other cases.

UCEED Exam 2022: Other important points

  • In case of any technical problems during the UCEED exam for Part A, candidates can report to the invigilator. Action will be taken to remedy the problem or assign a different computer if required.

  • The time lost due to technical problems shall be adjusted in the server

  • and candidates will get the allotted time to attempt the paper.

  • The answer of the NAT section is numerical and candidates need to answer it using a virtual keyboard displayed on the computer screen. No choices will be shown in the NAT section.

  • UCEED part B consists of only one drawing question which will be displayed on the computer screen but candidates have to attempt it in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator.

  • It is mandatory to answer UCEED part B question.
