UPPRPB warns against fake notice on UP constable re-exam dates

The UP government has decided to cancel the UP Police constable recruitment exam 2024 following allegations of paper leaks.

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has recently cancelled the UP Police constable recruitment examination. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 60,241 vacancies. The UP police constable exam 2024 was cancelled as paper leak reports were surfacing across social media.

A notice is going viral on social media in which it is stated that the UP police constable exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 20 and 21. However, the UP Police Board has warned the candidates to be cautious about this post and calling it fake. The board has informed that the information related to the UP Police constable re-exam 2024 will be published on the board’s website upbpb.gov.in and official X handle @upprpb.

UP Police constable recruitment re-exam in six months

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, announced on social media that the UP Police Constable examination, which was scheduled for February 17 and 18, has been postponed owing to suspicions of paper leaks. A re-exam will be held within the following six months.

CM Yogi stated that strict action will be taken against those who are playing with the hard work of the youth and the sanctity of the exam.

Posting on X, CM Yogi said, "Orders have been given to cancel the examination conducted for selection to the posts of Reserve Civil Police and to conduct re-examination within the next 6 months. There can be no compromise with the sanctity of examinations. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements."
