Uttar Pradesh CNET 2023: Applications for BSc nursing, NPCC open

CNET scores will be accepted by nursing colleges affiliated with ABVMU, SGPGIMS, KGMU, RMLIMS, UPUMS, all government and private universities and deemed universities of UP.

NEW DELHI: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University Uttar Pradesh has opened the application window for admisison to nursing programmes. The Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) 2023 application window is open at abvmucet2023.co.in and candidates will be able to apply online for BSc nursing, nurse practitioner in critical care (NPCC) (two years) by May 18. CNET 2023 will be held on June 4.

CNET 2023 scores will be accepted by all nursing colleges affiliated with ABVMU, SGPGIMS, KGMU, RMLIMS, UPUMS, all government and private universities and deemed universities of UP.

CNET 2023: BSc Nursing Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying Class 12 exam (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and passed in English individually from any recognized board.

  • In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in three core subjects shall be 40 percent instead of 45 percent for General category candidates.

  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in BSc Nursing.

  • Candidates are also eligible from state open school recognized by state government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognised by central government having science subjects and English only.

  • Color blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.

  • The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the medical board appointed by the university.

  • Married candidates are also eligible.

NPCC 2023: Minimum Eligibility Condition

  • The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with state nursing registration council of Uttar Pradesh state (UP nurses and midwives council).

  • If the candidate is a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council outside Uttar Pradesh state, they will be eligible if their institution/college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council

  • The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of BSc Nursing, BSc Hons Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks.

  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic BSc Nursing.

  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic BSc Nursing.
