NCET 2024 on June 12 for ITEP admissions; registration begins at ncet.samarth.ac.in

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024. Eligible candidates can apply for NCET exam on the official website, ncet.samarth.ac.in. The last date to apply for the exam is April 30.

NCET 2024 will be conducted on June 12 for admission to four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), government institutes, and other participating institutions.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2024 in 178 Cities and 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the Academic Session 2024-25,” said NTA in an official website.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age are eligible to appear for the exam. There is no age limit for the applicants.

To apply for NCET exam 2024, applicants belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,200 as an application fee. OBC-NCL and EWS candidates will be required to make payment of Rs 1,000 while SC, ST, PwBD, and third gender students will have to submit Rs 650.

NCET 2024 schedule

NCET 2024 question paper will include a total of 181 multiple choice questions and candidates will have to attempt 160. The paper will be divided into four sections - section 1 on languages, section 2 on domain-specific subjects, section 3 general test, and section 4 on teaching aptitude. The exam will be conducted in two shifts.
