2500+ Students to Receive Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarships Worth Rs. 3.5 Cr

NEW DELHI, August 24 : World Konkani Centre will distribute 2500+ ‘Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund (VKSSF)’ to students whose mother tongue is Konkani. The scholarships will be distributed on August 25, 2019 during the celebration function to be conducted at Raman Pai Convention Centre in Mangalore. Students belonging to Konkani Community who are pursuing Engineering, MBBS, Master degree from Indian or outside India will get VKSSF scholarship on the basis of their merit. Every year, VKSSF awards 2500+ scholarships of amount Rs. 3.50 Crores to deserving and eligible students in various disciplines.
TV Mohandas Pai, a corporate leader and eminent thinker, initiated the Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund (VKSSF). From the year of start 2010, over 6000 Scholarships worth Rs. 8.0 Crores has been raised and distributed.

Pradeep G. Pai, Secretary of the Fund said that the Fund is functioning on the basis of ‘Stream’ concept and the entire amount generated every year is being distributed to the beneficiaries and no separate corpus will be maintained.
