NEW DELHI: The GATE 2024 was taken by 6,53, 292 students for admission into various postgraduate programmes in Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other participating colleges this year. The IISc Bangalore said that over 8.26 lakh students had applied for the 30 test papers of Graduate Admission Test in Engineering (GATE 2024), the Indian Express reported.
It added that 1,29,268 students cleared the GATE 2024 in general, economically weaker section (EWS), OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories. The GATE 2024 result was declared on March 16. This GATE 2024 registration witnessed 23% increase in enrollment, the Indian Express added. Last year over 6.70 lakh students had registered for 29 test paper of GATE 2024. This year, data science and artificial intelligence (DA) test paper was introduced in the GATE 2024. A total of 52,743 applications were received for the data science and artificial intelligence paper, of which 39,210 candidates appeared for the test and 8,378 candidates passed the test.
The IISc Bangalore will upload the link of the GATE 2024 score card on the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in, on March 23. The score card will be valid for .
The GATE 2024 scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of the result i.e. today. The GATE score card 2024 will be valid for three years used for admission into PG courses and recruitment of public sector undertakings.

The score card will contain details such as candidate’s name and address, marks obtained, qualifying marks, GATE score, All India Rank, and the number of candidates who appeared in the paper.
