Of 725 NEC Guntur students who participated in placement drive, 703 got offers

NEW DELHI, MARCH 29: Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC), Guntur have outranked other engineering colleges in the region in placements. In the NEC Guntur placement session 2018-2019, a total of 725 students from B.Tech courses, and MBA, M.TECH courses participated in the placement drive and 703 students got job offers from the multinational companies.
45 companies comprising of Indian and Multinational companies came to the college campus for the recruitment. This is the most number of companies coming for campus placements in the whole of Andhra Pradesh for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Mittapalli Chakravarthi, who hails from an IT & Industrial background said, “ We managed around 350 plus internships for the batch, and clearly that experience counted in the interview process.” He disclosed that the average package of the students is 2.2 LPA, with the highest package being 4.25 LPA and the lowest being 1.44 LPA.
IT (Information Technology) companies were the top recruiters followed by ITES Information Technology Enabled Services along with core engineering companies.
Speaking about the success of the students of NEC in placements, NEC Vice-Chairman Mittapalli Chakravarthi said, " Our students have proved that academic success goes hand-in-hand with real-time tests" I congratulate the placement cell for their hard work in equipping students with soft skills and professionalism"
Further, the highest recruiting domain is Graduate engineer trainee and software engineer trainee. Companies making the highest offer were: CTS, TCS, WIPRO, and MPHISIS. Most numbers of students were recruited by TCS, CTS, WIPRO, FSS, GGK Tech, HCL , NAL Soft, Infosys, Cyient, Syntel, and EDUFIC Digital.
More companies are lined up to visit the college in the coming weeks. As per the placement coordinators of the college, they are working towards placing the remaining students as well. For the purpose, they will be applying for off-campus recruitments and will reach out to their past students for getting referral programmes.
