NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) issued the certificate of practice (CoP) for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 18. The council has directed all lawyers to download their certificate of practice from their respective State Bar Councils.
"It is notified that COP for the AIBE-XVII examination has been dispatched to all State Bar Councils. We kindly request all candidates to collect their COP from their respective State Bar Councils. For any queries or further assistance regarding the collection process, please contact your respective State Bar Councils directly", AIBE official notification read.
Candidates who appeared for the AIBE 18 exam can check the qualifying marks in the table given below-

The notification specifies that individuals belonging to the General and OBC categories need to achieve a minimum score of 45% for eligibility, whereas SC/ST candidates are required to attain 40%.
AIBE COP 2024 requirement in India
The Bar Council of India requires all lawyers to acquire a Certificate of Practice (COP) within two years of their provisional enrollment. Only advocates who have successfully appeared for and passed the All India Bar Examination will be granted the COP, allowing them to continue practicing law in Indian courts.
The process for obtaining the AIBE COP commences upon provisional enrollment with the respective state bar council. Lawyers must complete the Bar Council of India registration form 2023 to download the certificate.
Meanwhile, BCI has activated the AIBE 18 OMR sheet rechecking window. The Council declared the AIBE 18 result 2024 on March 26. Candidates who are not satisfied with their AIBE 18 result 2024 can apply for result rechecking by visiting the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.
