Download NowNEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has again extended the AIBE XVI (16) registration date from March 31 to April 30, 2021. Importantly, the AIBE XVI (16) exam, which was originally scheduled to be held on March 21, 2021, now stands postponed till further notice.

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may fill the application form for the certification exam, which will be conducted at more than 40 test locations around the country.
In a separate notification published today, the council has announced the results of the much awaited AIBE XV (15) 2020 result at allindiabarexamination.com. Candidates who qualify in the exam will be issued the Certificate of Practice (COP), which is a permit to practice law in Indian courts. The AIBE XV (15) 2020 exam was conducted on January 24, 2021.
The result is available at the official website of council - allindiabarexamination.com. Candidates may use the AIBE roll number and date of birth to check their result. To qualify the AIB XV (15) 2020, candidates must score 40% marks (35% in case of SC and ST candidates).
Here are some key points related to AIBE XVI (16) exam

Unlike the previous sessions of AIBE, the 16th session will not be an open book examination.

As per a notification released earlier by the council, candidates will not be allowed to carry any study material, books, or notes inside the examination hall.

However, Bare Acts, exact texts of a particular legislation will be allowed to be carried to the examination centre.

To apply for AIBE XVI 2021, the candidate must have passed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree exam.

Further, the candidate must get registered with respective state bar councils. The enrolment number issued by the state council is required to regsieter for AIBE XVI.
