Download NowThe Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the results for the All India Bar Examination XX (AIBE 20) today, with 1,74,386 candidates qualifying to practise law in India. Uttar Pradesh contributed to the highest number of AIBE-qualified candidates, while Tamil Nadu and Puducherry recorded the highest pass rate. AIBE 20 Result 2025 (Out) LIVE
The AIBE XX 2025 exam was conducted on November 30 across 399 centres in 56 cities. Candidates who qualify the All India Bar examination are eligible to receive a Certificate of Practice, a mandatory requirement to practice law in India.
This year, a total of 2,51,968 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 1,74,386 candidates, or 69.21% qualified. The AIBE results were calculated out of 95 marks as five questions were withdrawn from the final answer key .
As per the AIBE cut-off marks 2025, the BCI has fixed the qualifying marks for general and OBC at 43 marks (45%), and 38 marks (40%) for SC, ST, and PwD categories.
AIBE: Gender-wise results
The gender-wise result data shows that female candidates outperformed male, recording a 71.01% pass rate.

AIBE XX: Category-wise results
The highest pass rate was secured by the unreserved category (72%), while SC category candidates (70.5%) outperformed both OBC and ST categories.

State-wise AIBE XX results 2025
As per the AIBE result data shared by the BCI, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry recorded the highest qualification rate at 86.49%, followed by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir at 84.59%. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Kerala also reported top pass rates.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates at 23,911. Candidates who appeared under the "undertaking category” recorded a pass rate of 74.23% outperforming the overall average.
