AICTE Revised Academic Calendar 2022-23: New academic session from August 1

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released the revised academic calendar 2022-23 for all AICTE approved institutions and universities. According to the schedule announced by AICTE, classes for first-year students of technical courses will begin from August 1, 2022.

Classes may be started in online or offline or blended mode (Online as well as Offline) following the prescribed protocols related to pandemic, the official circular read.

For Technical Institutions (Not applicable for Standalone PGDM/PGCM Institutions)

Proposed Schedule for academic year 2022-2023

Conduct of entrance exam (AIEE, State CET, management quota exams)

May 2022

Result declaration of qualifying exams

On or before June 5, 2022

1st round of counselling, admission for allotment of seats

To be completed on or before June 30, 2022

2nd round of counselling, admission for allotment of seats

To be completed on or before July 10, 2022

Last round of counselling for allotment of seats

To be completed on or before July 20, 2022

Commencement of academic session

August 1, 2022

Last date upto which students can be admitted against vacancies arising due to any reason

August 15, 2022

Last date of granting or refusing approval by AICTE

April 10

Last date of granting or refusing affiliation by university or state government

May 15, 2022

“The Academic Calendar may change subject to the conditions existing due to pandemic and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home and Ministry of Education from time to time,” said the circular.

“Institutions admitting students without prior approval shall be subjected to punitive action,” AICTE warned in the circular.
