AIIMS 2019 Registrations for MBBS started through PAAR; Know 5 things to keep in mind

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 30: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has started the application process for the medical entrance exam, AIIMS MBBS 2019, on November 30. The prospective test takers need to complete the basic registration by submitting the personal and contact details; and uploading of documents.

For the first time, the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility has been introduced for MBBS entrance exam, as per which the candidates can apply six months before the exam day. AIIMS MBBS 2019 application process will contain two major steps namely Basic Registration and Final Registration. The Basic Registration process has already started while the Final Registration will open on February 21. The information brochure containing the eligibility criteria for the exam, seat intake for academic session 2018-19, exam pattern and other major details will be released on January 29. How to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019?

As the name suggests, the Basic Registration process of AIIMS application form 2019 will include submission of basic details. Given below are the steps to fill the form-

  • Log on to the official website of AIIMS MBBS 2019

  • Click on ‘Academic Course’ tab

  • Select ‘MBBS’ and the registration page will open

  • Click on the ‘Click here’ button

  • Submit Personal and Contact Details

  • Login with the Registration ID and Password created

  • Upload the documents - Photograph, Signature and Left Thumb Impression

Incorrect details in AIIMS MBBS Application Form?

It is suggested to submit correct information while registering. However, incorrect information once submitted can be corrected when the application correction window is made available by the conducting body. AIIMS MBBS correction window to correct information submitted in the Basic Registration will be accessible from January 8 to January 18.

What after Basic Registration?

After the basic registration process is over, the code generation facility will start. Only those candidates whose details submitted in Basic Registration are accepted will be able to obtain the unique identification number to move on to Final registration. The regulatory body will reveal the seat matrix, displaying the number of seats offered by the nine AIIMS institute and six newly introduced AIIMS, on January 29.

As the final registration is exam specific, aspirants need to submit information which is particularly for the exam that a candidate wishes to take. Submission of academic and contact details; entering exam city choices; and payment of application fee will be a part of the Final Registration process of AIIMS MBBS 2019 applications.

When will the AIIMS MBBS admit card release?

The admit card which confirms the acceptance of the application form and is an entry ticket to the examination hall will be released on May 15. The hall ticket will disclose the exam city and the address of the allotted exam centre. AIIMS New Delhi will also be providing exam day guidelines on the admit card.

About AIIMS MBBS 2019

Considered to be the toughest medical entrance exam, AIIMS MBBS, is taken by more than 3 lakh candidates. Keeping up with the previous year trends, the number of applicants could increase for this session. With six new AIIMS (Raebareli, Kalyani, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Bibinagar, and Deogarh) offering seats along with the other nine AIIMS, the annual seat intake will also rise. It is expected that more than 1,000 seats will be available for academic year 2019.

The question paper of AIIMS MBBS contains, primarily, five sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. The test containing 200 questions will involve negative marking. The assertion reason questions, which tests the logical and reasoning capacities of the test takers, are considered to be tricky.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 slated to be held on May 25 and May 26 will be conducted in two shifts each day. The mode of the conduct of the exam remains online i.e. as a computer based mode. The medical entrance exam is conducted in more than 150 cities across 29 states and three union territories.
