AIIMS MBBS 2019: Registration process to commence on November 15; 4 new AIIMS introduced

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 13: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi will start the basic registration process for AIIMS MBBS 2019 on November 15, as per the latest notice released by the authorities. The registrations will be done through the newly introduced Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility.

As per the official notice, the registration process is divided into two parts starts - the Basic Registration process in which candidates submit their basic details and the Final Registration, opening on January 29, is exam specific.

Introduction of the four new AIIMS

This year, a total of 13 AIIMS will be offering admission to MBBS course eventually increasing the intake for the academic session 2019-20. The new AIIMS are located in Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur and Bathinda. The number of seats offered by these AIIMS will be disclosed on January 28. It is yet to be revealed whether the classes will be held in the new AIIMS Institutes as their campuses are still under construction.

About the PAAR facility

AIIMS PAAR facility was launched for the institute’s PG entrances on August 29 and it was intimated that the facility will be extended for the MBBS entrances. With the notice released on November 12, it was confirmed that PAAR will be applicable for MBBS entrances and other UG entrances.

The objective behind to initiate the PAAR facility is to give applicant more time to complete the application form and reduce the number of application which get rejected due to submission of incorrect details by the candidates.

The information brochure containing eligibility criteria, list of exam cities, exam pattern, and other pertinent details will be issued along with the starting of the Final Registration process. As of now, the details of the registration process and release of admit card have been released.

The medical entrance exam, scheduled to be held on May 25 and May 26, will be conducted in four shifts and as a computer-based test. The admit cards will be issued on May 15.
