Covid-19: AKTU postpones semester exams, likely to be held in March

AKTU first and second-year semester exams to be held in February postponed. Colleges to hold exams after the Covid-19 improves.

NEW DELHI: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has decided to postpone the first and second-year semester exams scheduled to be held in February. AKTU informed students that the postponed exams will be conducted in mid-March if there is a drop in the number of Covid-19, Omicron cases in India.

According to AKTU’s latest notice, “The semester exams which were scheduled in the month of February stands postponed. If the Covid-19 situation improves, these exams will be conducted by the institutions in mid-March.”

The university also asked all affiliated colleges to continue online classes till mid-March. However, AKTU did not inform whether the exam will be conducted online or offline. The university conducted regular and carry over-exams of the odd semester for the undergraduate and postgraduate students in offline mode despite students protesting for online exams due to Covid-19, Omicron fear.

AKTU odd semester exam 2021 was held in offline mode from December 28, 2021, to January 15, 2022.

It is also expected that the university will make a decision on colleges reopening in March after reviewing the Covid-19 situation. AKTU in the notice asked all colleges to inform students about the postponement of semester exams.
