Amrita University to release B.Tech 2020 application on October 9

New Delhi, August 3 : Amrita University has announced that the application form for B.Tech admission 2020 will be released on October 9. The other dates related to the application process and examination will be intimated along with the release of application form. The university will release a information brochure before the release of application form mentioning detailed guideline for application and admission process. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, commonly known as Amrita University, is a multi discipline, multi campus university with campuses in Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Chennai and Amritapuri. Admission in engineering courses at all the campuses of Amrita University is through a combined entrance test called Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE).
Amrita University has recently been awarded the Institute of Eminence (IOE) tag by UGC. This accord grants university the full autonomy towards its functioning.

The university has concluded admission process for the session 2019-20. The admission test for B.Tech admission was conducted on multiple days from April 21 till May 7. The AEEE exam is conducted in both offline (Pen & Paper) mode as well as online (Computer Based Test). Students who qualify the AEEE exam are called for counselling based on their ranks. Seats are allotted on the basis of their ranks and availability of seats. The counselling is conducted in offline mode at all the campuses simultaneously.

Amrita University also offers admission in B.Tech courses on the basis of JEE Main ranks. Students who qualify the JEE Main exam can participate in the counselling without appearing in AEEE. Such students also need not fill the application form of university but they have to register for counselling in online mode and report to the counselling as per the official announcement.
