NEW DELHI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (deemed to be university) is going to introduce a certificate course on Hindu Studies. The university will organise a virtual briefing tomorrow on the theme ‘Exploring its essence -- unearthing traditions, history, literature, and philosophies’.
The virtual briefing will be addressed by Achyutāmṛta Chaitanya, principal of the Amrita School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies, Sivanandan S, assistant professor at the university, and Sooraj MS, faculty associate of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

The speakers will share key insights regarding ways the course provides an opportunity to look comprehensively into the wisdom of the great ancient sages, by familiarising you with traditions, literature, culture, and philosophies. The speakers will also speak on introduction to various aspects of ‘sanatana dharma’ enabling you with a better understanding of the culture while helping to lead a harmonious life.
They will also address the topic ‘How hinduism will help provide an inner strength’ and ‘Clear picture of their subconsciousness -- only peace of mind can bring prosperity to themselves and the nation. The university said these topics will make the world a better place to live.
The students joining the course will have the opportunity to avail themselves of credit transfers. The opportunity is as per the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP), facilitated through the academic bank of credits.
The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is ranked seventh in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
