AP POLYCET 2026 registration begins for diploma in engineering; exam on May 13

The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh has opened the registration portal for the AP POLYCET 2026 examination. Eligible candidates can apply for the AP POLYCET 2026 through the official website at polycetap.ap.gov.in by April 20.

The Andhra Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2026 (AP POLYCET) will be held on May 13 in a single shift from 11 am to 1 pm. The exam is conducted for admission to engineering, non-engineering diploma programmes at polytechnic colleges across the state.

The pen-and-paper format AP POLYCET 2026 exam will be held at 120 exam centres across the state.

Notably, candidates will have to pay a late registration fee of Rs 100 after the deadline. They can also apply with a tatkal fee of Rs 300 by April 22. Only those applicants who have passed Class 10 or SSC or equivalent from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the AP POLYCET 2026.

As per the exam pattern, the AP POLYCET 2026 question paper will contain a total of 120 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), including 60 in Maths section, 30 in Physics, and 30 Chemistry.

The syllabus of AP POLYCET 2026 is based on Class 10 subjects. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given one mark for each correct response, while there will be no negative marking.
