NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 30 - Jawahar Navodaya Vidayala Samiti has extended the last date for submitting the applications for admission to class 6 from November 30 to December 15, 2018 due to administrative reasons. Interested candidates can visit the official website and fill and submit the application form online. There is no application fee for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test 2019. The admit card will be released on March 01, 2019 and the selection test will be conducted on April 6, 2019.
Who can apply?
- Candidates enrolled in class 5 during 2018-19 in a Govt./Govt. recognized school in a district are eligible to apply for the JNV located in the same district. They also must clear class 5 successfully in same academic year.
- Candidate must have been born between 01-05-2006 and 30-04-2010 (Both days are inclusive).
- No candidate will be eligible to appear in the selection test second time, under any circumstances.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) were established by National Policy of Education (1986), Government of India. These schools provide admission to classes 6 and 9. These are co-educational residential schools fully administered by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization.
The main motive of JNVs is to promote good quality modern education, including excellent culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education to the talented children in rural areas free of cost.
