APPSC AEE 2018 notification released; application to begin from Dec 3

NEW DELHI, DEC 1: Andhra Pradesh Public Service (APPSC) has released notification for Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) recruitment. A total of 309 vacancies have been announced by the Commission for recruitment in various Engineering Services. Online application process will be available from December 3 to 24, 2018. The application form will be released online at https://psc.ap.gov.in/ .

The screening test/preliminary exam will be conducted offline on February 2, 2019, in case the number of applicants are more than 25,000. Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam on April 1 and 2 which will be held in computer based mode.

Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical and in the age group of 18 to 42 years as on August 1, 2018 are eligible to apply for APPSC AEE 2019 recruitment.

As per the notification, candidates before applying for the post are required to register through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR). Once applicant registers, a user ID will be generated and sent to candidates registered mobile number and email ID.

The screening test as per the exam pattern will carry 150 objective type questions. The test comprises of two papers – A (General Studies & Mental Ability) and B (Civil & Mechanical Engineering (Common) or Electrical Engineering). The total duration of the test is 150 minutes. The test carries total 150 Marks. There is negative marking fior wrong answers which is 1/3. The standard of questions will be of graduation level. The mains exam on the other hand comprises three objective type papers. Each paper will carry 150 questions and total marks of test is 450. For wrong answers, 1/3 marks will be deducted.

The selection process of APPSC AEE includes – Preliminary exam/Screening Test and Mains Exam. Candidates will be offered appointment to the posts based on their performance in the mains exam.

APPSC conducts the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) recruitment to select candidates for various Engineering Services in departments like AP Rural Water Supply and sanitation, Roads & Buildings Engineering Service, A.P. Water Resources Department, A.P Panchayat Raj & RD Engineering Service etc.
