APPSC Group 1 notification 2019 released for 169 vacancies;check details here

NEW DELHI, January 2: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released notification for APPSC Group 1 recruitment exam. As many as 169 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam. The application form of APPSC Group 1 will be available from January 7 to 28, 2019. The date for payment of application fees is January 27, 2019 till 11.59 pm. According to the official notification, the preliminary exam will be conducted on March 10, 2019. The mains exam is scheduled to be conducted from June 10 to 22, 2019. The selection process comprises three stages – preliminary, mains and interview/oral test.

Any graduate candidates who are between 18 to 42 years can apply for the exam. However, the eligiblity criteria of APPSC Group 1 differs as per the posts. Applicants need to fill the application form online. The application processing fee is Rs 250 while the examination fee is Rs 120. SC, ST, BC, PH, ex-service men etc candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee. Candidates will have to pay their application as well as examination fee online.

Applicants need to enter their preferences of exam centres at the time of filling the application form. The preliminary exam of APPSC Group 1 will be conducted across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The mains exam will be held in four districts of the state.

The hall ticket of APPSC Group 1 will be issued to candidates 7 days before the exam. Candidates will have to download their hall ticket online by entering their application number and date of birth.

According to the exam pattern, the preliminary exam will consist of two papers – I and II. The preliminary exam will be objective type. The Paper I is divided into four parts – A, B,C,D, each part carries 30 marks. The Paper II consists of two parts -A and B, each part will carry 60 marks. Total marks allotted to the preliminary exam is 240. The mains exam will carry objective type questions. The test will have two language papers – English and Telegu which are qualifying in nature. Besides, there will be five other papers. Each paper will carry 150 marks. The interview carries 75 marks. The selection of candidates will be done based on their performance in the mains exam followed by the interview/oral test.

APPSC Group 1 exam is conducted for recruitment to the post of Deputy Collectors, Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, District Fire Officers, Assistant Prohibition & Excise Superintendent, Mandal Parishad Development Officer etc.
