NEW DELHI: Bachelor of Education (BEd) students are urging Prime Minister Modi to bring justice to them by making them eligible for primary teacher post. Candidates alleged that despite being highly qualified, Rajasthan High Court and government eliminated them from primary teacher recruitment. They are campaigning on Twitter with hashtag #ModiJiBEdkonyayadilao asking PM Modi to save National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)’s gazette notification June 28, 2018 and get strong advocates for their side to win the argument in the Allahabad High Court on July 14 and in the Supreme Court on July 19.
A Twitter user said “BEd students aspire to be teachers in PRT, they have full skill and potential, however states are intended to revoke B.Ed degree holders from PRT. This is fierce injustice. Kindly save the career of students.”

A teacher said on Twitter “We didn't get a BEd degree free of cost, so why are we not eligible for PRT? Because of B.Ed candidates are more qualified than Btc. Please Save us in Bed.”

Another student tweeted, "We did Bed after seeing the guideline of @ncteDelhi 2018, when the guideline came, why was it not said that it is wrong? When we have done BEd, passed TET then why case was done? At that time the government and the court were sitting blindly. We will take our rights."
