BCECEB announces counselling schedule, seat matrix for government engineering colleges; choice filling starts June 26

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced the schedule for the Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) 2026. The board also released rank cards and the seat matrix for admission to BE and BTech programmes offered by government engineering colleges for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates can download their rank cards by logging in with their UGEAC ID and date of birth.
Candidates who have qualified through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 and are eligible for UGEAC 2026 can participate in the online counselling process for admission to government engineering colleges, SGIDT Patna, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Women's Institute of Technology, Darbhanga.

The online choice-filling process will commence on June 26 and remain open until July 1. Candidates will be allowed to select and prioritise colleges and branches of their choice. They can edit their preferences before the deadline and must lock their choices to complete the process.

The seat matrix shows that major institutions including MIT Muzaffarpur, BCE Bhagalpur, GCE Gaya, LNJPIT Chapra, Darbhanga College of Engineering, Nalanda College of Engineering, Motihari College of Engineering, Sitamarhi Institute of Technology, and other government engineering colleges will participate in the admission process.
