Bihar Police Vacancy 2019; Online Application Dates Extended

NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 26: Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has extended the last dates of online form submission of SI, Sergeant, Assistant Jail Superintendent (Direct Recruitment) & Assistant Jail Superintendent (Ex-Serviceman). BPSSC in an official notice has mentioned that the last date which was previously September 25, 2019, has now been extended to September 28, 2019 (Midnight). It also mentioned that no further extension will be given, so September 28 must be considered as the last date. The decision to extend dates is been taken to avoid the last-minute rush, which can also lead the candidates in avoiding errors and mistakes while filling the form. Earlier, the online applications started from August 22, 2019, and was supposed to end on September 25.
The notification was announced on BPSSC’s official website on August 21 2019.
BPSSC announced the Bihar Police Recruitment for 2446 vacancies for the following positions:

Police Sub Inspector (2064 posts)
-
Sergeant (215 posts)
-
Assistant Superintendent Jail [Direct Recruitment] (125 posts)
-
Assistant Superintendent Jail [Ex-Serviceman] (42 posts)
Exam Pattern:
The exam will be conducted in two stages; Preliminary and Mains.
The question paper will be objective type and in the written mode. The prelims exam will consist of 100 questions of 200 marks with a time duration of 2 hours. Candidates scoring below 30 marks will be unqualified.
BPSSC will qualify candidates, 20x the number of vacancies.
The Mains will consist of 2 papers; Paper 1 will have 100 questions carrying 200 marks to be completed within 2 hours. The questions will be based on General Hindi and candidates scoring below 30 will be unqualified.
The Mains Paper 2 will also carry 100 questions carrying 200 marks to be completed within 2 hours.
Paper 2 will be based on General Studies, General Science, Indian History, Indian Geography, Maths, Civics and questions testing the intellectual prowess of the candidates. 0.20 marks will be deducted as negative marking in both the papers.
