BITS UG Law Admissions 2027-28: Candidates will be admitted on the basis of their academic performance, recognised law entrance exam scores, extracurricular achievements, communication skills, and personal interview performance.

The BITS Law School has started registration for admission to its five-year integrated fully residential BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes for the academic year 2027-28. Candidates can register for the undergraduate (UG) law courses through the official website at bitslawschool.edu.in.
To apply for the law programmes, candidates have to register themselves, verify email, fill an online application form, upload documents, and submit the applications through the official portal.
The BITS Law School will admit candidates after shortlisting them for a person interview round.
The BA LLB and BBA LLBA programmes are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), and combine legal education with interdisciplinary learning across areas relevant to contemporary legal practice, according to an official statement.
Students should have to choose from the five specialisations, such as technology and media law, corporate and financial law, entertainment and sports law, alternative dispute resolution and mediation, and public law and theory.
The admissions process follows the BITS Law Foundation Assessment (BLFA). The BLFA will shortlist candidates on the basis of their academic performance, recognised law entrance examination scores, extracurricular achievements, communication skills, and personal interview performance.
BLFA is a 60-minute online, proctored assessment that consists of 70 multiple-choice questions with no negative marking. Students will also be assessed on their ability to comprehend, communicate, reason, articulate ideas, and engage with contemporary issues.
Through structured interactions with faculty, applicants will get an opportunity to demonstrate their intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, communication skills, and motivation to study law.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in grade 12. Those awaiting their Class 12 or entrance examination results may also apply, with admission subject to submission of their final scores.
Notably, candidates can also apply through the BITS LAT (BITS Law Entrance Test) or with scores from recognised law entrance examinations, including CLAT, AILET, SLAT, MHCET Law, and LNAT.
Vishwas H Devaiah, dean, BITS Law School, said: “At BITS Law School, we believe legal education should go beyond academic knowledge and encourage students to think critically, engage across disciplines, and respond to a rapidly changing world. Our five-year integrated programmes are designed to build strong legal foundations along with professional readiness, critical writing, mentorship, and personalised academic support, preparing students for diverse legal careers.”
Furthermore, the BITS Law School also provides scholarship support to the students. These include the GD Birla, KK Birla, and Sarala Birla Scholarships for legal studies, which offer partial to full tuition waivers.
Additional scholarships include Merit & Means Based Scholarship, Academic Merit Scholarship, and Diversity Scholarship.
Students also have opportunities for international academic exposure through the school’s partnerships with global institutions, an official statement read.
BITS Law School also provides support to students’ career development through its Industry Interface and Career Advancement (IICA) initiatives, offering structured internships, industry engagement, career guidance, and mentorship from experienced legal professionals.
Through workshops, networking events, career readiness programmes, and recruitment initiatives, students gain practical skills and exposure to leading law firms, corporates, policy organisations, and public institutions, preparing them for diverse career pathways across law firms, corporate legal practice, dispute resolution, public policy, technology law, regulatory practice, and the social sector.
