BITS Pilani, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya collaborate in research, curriculum development

NEW DELHI: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) has virtually signed an agreement with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya to enhance collaborative endeavours in research and development, teaching, curriculum development, faculty training, entrepreneurship, and incubation.

It will also organise joint conferences and workshops. The collaboration intends to utilise each institution's strengths and skills, creating a synergistic environment for revolutionary efforts.

BITS Pilani and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya aim to push the boundaries of research and education by collaborating on challenges and opportunities in the dynamic fields of transportation, logistics, supply chain, sustainability, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, sensors, and beyond, the official statement read.

Speaking on the occasion, BITS Pilani vice chancellor, V Ramgopal Rao, said: “This collaborative alliance is a milestone in our teaching, research, and innovation efforts. The MoU highlights our joint commitment to advancing knowledge in important supply chain sectors that will dominate our industries and business future. A dynamic ecosystem that nurtures transformative projects and allows students and learners adequate platforms to excel is needed now.”

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya vice chancellor, Manoj Choudhary, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for both institutes to share transport and logistics knowledge.
