BPSC Civil Services 2018 notification released for 1255 vacancies, register before August 20
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released notification for 64th Combined Preliminary Service Examination on August 3. As many as 1255 vacancies across various government departments will be filled through this recruitment exam. Online registration for the recruitment exam has started on August 3, 2018. The last date of registration is August 20, 2018. However, candidates can submit their application form till August 31, 2018. Fee can be paid online till August 24, 2018.
Aspirants who wish to apply for BPSC Civil Services must be graduate. The minimum age for applying is 20, 21 and 22, while the maximum age is 37, 40 and 42 for different posts as per the various categories. The application process comprises three stages – registration, payment of fee and filling of online application form. The application fee is Rs 600 for General and OBC categories, while it is Rs 150 for SC, ST, PH and female (Bihar Domicile) categories. Applicants can pay the examination fee through credit/debit card, net banking or SBI Challan.
BPSC Civil Services selection process comprises – Preliminary, Mains and Personality Test. The Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. It consists of one General Studies paper with 150 objective type questions. Each question carries 1 mark. The mains exam comprises General Hindi, General Studies-I and II and Optional Paper. General Hindi paper is qualifying. Total marks allotted to mains exam is 900. The Personality test will be conducted for 120 marks. Final merit list to select candidates for the various posts will be prepared based on the marks in Mains exam and Personality Test.
