NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has begun the registration for headmaster, head teacher posts today, March 11. The last date to fill out the BPSC Head Teacher application form is April 2. Eligible candidates should fill out the BPSC application form through the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The BPSC recruitment drive aims to fill out a total of 6,061 headmasters and 40,247 head teachers posts in primary schools under the education department, Bihar. To register for the BPSC head teacher and headmaster posts, the application fee for scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD) and female candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200, while candidates from other categories should pay Rs 750.
The BPSC head teacher examination consists of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions, with a total allocation of 150 marks. The questions are distributed equally between two sections including general studies and Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd), each carrying 75 marks.
In terms of the marking scheme, candidates are awarded one mark for each correct response, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The entire exam has a duration of 2:30 hours. The general category candidates will have to score a minimum of 40% to qualify for the exam.

Candidates should follow the steps given below to fill out the BPSC application form 2024.
- Visit the BPSC official website bpsc.bih.nic.in
- On the homepage, look for the “Apply Online” tab.
- Now, click on the head teacher headmaster application link.
- Complete the registration process and fill out the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.
- Download the application form and take a printout for future reference.
