Breaking: CLAT 2019 offline exam date likely to change; Know why

NEW DELHI, MARCH 15 : The CLAT 2019 earlier scheduled to be held offline on May 12, is most likely to be changed as the examination date coincides with the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections (General Election) 2019. While the Common Law Admission Test is to be appeared by over 50000 law aspirants, the Lok Sabha election may cause several problems to the law aspirants including commuting to the examination centres of CLAT 2019.

Considering the possible issues arising due to the General Elections on May 12, Careers360, on behalf of law aspirants, had written to CLAT Consortium requesting a change in the examination date.
As of now, the CLAT 2019 Convenor, Dr Sri Krishna Deva Rao in a telephonic conversation with Careers360 said that a meeting is taking place to find a solution to this issue. “The CLAT Consortium is meeting to find an amicable solution to the issue of examination date coinciding with Lok Sabha Elections 2019,” confirmed, the CLAT 2019 Convenor.
A decision is to come by 2:00 pm on CLAT 2019 date, after the CLAT Consortium meeting gets over. Careers360 will update on CLAT 2019 date change.
About CLAT
The Common Law Admission Test is a national-level law entrance exam held across India for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes in as many as 21 NLUs. This year’s CLAT was to be held on May 12, 2019, which is now to be changed due to coinciding with the Lok Sabha Elections.
The sixth phase of Lok Sabha 2019 Elections will be held at as many as 59 Lok Sabha constituencies of seven states, Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
