NEW DELHI: The British Council is offering up to £3,000 to 10 students who will head abroad to study in 2020 and early 2021.

It said in a statement that only those students who have secured admission to an institute that accepts scores of the International English Language Aptitude Test as a part of the admission process are eligible to apply. The British Council is co-owner of the IELTS.

To win the scholarship, candidates can apply online and explain in 500 words why they think “they deserve the money and where they plan to study”, said the statement.

However, the amount is not fixed. Scholarship winners will get a maximum of £3,000 “toward their tuition fees”.
