CA Foundation 2020 Paper 1 postponed; check new exam date

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Foundation 2020 paper 1 of Principles and Practice of Accounting. The exam is schedule to be held on December 8, 2020, from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).

CA Foundation exam 2020 will now be conducted on December 13, 2020 at the same venue(s) and timings i.e., 2 PM to 5 PM (IST). ICAI admit cards released earlier remains valid for the exam.

Earlier, the institute has released a list of 15 CA foundation 2020 exam centres in the state of Kerala. The decision of changing the exam centres is made due to the local elections in the state.

While some students will have to report to new venues for one or three dates, most students need to report to entirely new venues for all dates of the CA Foundation December exam.

Candidates are advised to check the complete list of exam centres and report to their centres accordingly. All the details mentioned in the admit card except the exam venue will remain unchanged.

The CA Foundation exam consists of four papers- Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 and Paper 4. Each paper will begin from 2 pm on the respective exam date.

All papers of the CA foundation exams are scheduled to be conducted on December 8, 10, 12, and 14, 2020.

Examination centres were earlier changed in Lucknow, Hyderabad and Secunderabad due to the local elections at the respective places.
