Cambridge Assessment English receives language learning Company of the Year award in India

NEW DELHI, MARCH 5: Every year more than 20,000 universities, employers, government ministries and other organizations rely on Cambridge English exams and qualifications as proof of English language ability. As a recognition of its achievements, Cambridge Assessment English, a not-for-profit arm of the University of Cambridge was presented with Language Learning Company of the Year award at EdTechReview Expo 2019 held in Bangalore, India.

T K Arunachalam, Regional Director - South Asia, Cambridge Assessment English said, “Our mission is to help people to learn English and prove their skills to the world, and we are increasingly using digital solutions to allow us to reach a wider and vast range of learners, so we are delighted that our work has been recognised by this award.”

“Educational technology has a huge contribution to make to teaching, learning and assessment,” he added, “but it is vitally important to see digital solutions as a way of enhancing and extending the work of professional educators, not as a replacement for the teacher, whose role in guiding, encouraging and inspiring the learner will always be at the heart of education.”

Experts from India and abroad, academicians, institutional heads, corporate leaders, publishers, educational technology professionals came together for EdTechReview Expo 2019. The two-day summit witnessed multiple keynote speeches, panel discussions and ended with awards. The topics of discussion were varied and highly engaging and included - Solving India’s Employability Challenge, Scaling Quality Education etc.
