NEW DELHI - IIM Indore is to conduct CAT 2020 on November 29 which is few days from now. It is likely for candidates to be perplexed regarding their preparation. In the last leg, candidates are advised not to experiment and waste time on unprepared topics. CAT 2020 is one of the most competitive B-School exam, hence the preparation level should also be such that can give candidates an added advantage over the other candidates.

Some of the major tips given below to secure good marks in CAT 2020 can be followed by candidates. There tips are based on expert opinions and previous years CAT topper’s interview and can be beneficial if followed properly for CAT 2020.

Time Management

Since IIM Indore has reduced the time limit of each section to 40 minutes, candidates need to buck up on the speed while keeping in mind accuracy as well. Hence, while solving the questions during practice at home, candidates should note down the time allotted to each question. If any question is taking too long to be solved, leave that and move further.

Practice Mock Test

Give one mock test on daily basis before appearing in the final exam. Solving CAT mock tests will help candidates in analyzing their performance. Moreover, the can get an exact overview of the exam day scenario and gauge their stress level while attempting the CAT mock test.

Do Not Start a New Topic

In the last 15 days, it is imperative that candidates should not start any new topic and prepare for the same. Wasting time on new topics would be considered a bad move at this time. Revise only those topics from CAT syllabus that are covered and candidates have good command.

Focus on Maintaining Accuracy

Focus of candidates on the remaining 15 days, should be on maintaining accuracy while answering the questions. Revision of each section for about 3 hours on daily basis will help in improving both speed and accuracy.

Take Healthy Diet

Everyone wants admission in IIM’s but this doesn’t mean that candidates should leave everything else. Having a good diet and remaining healthy for the D-Day is equally important. Hence, candidates should take a nutritional diet and sound sleep for better performance.
