NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 13: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to make some changes this time in question papers of class 10 and 12. It has decided to increase the objective type questions and the question options to make exams student friendly and easier.

Changes in the question papers are summarized below:

  • There will be 25% objective type questions in the paper instead of 10% to boost the confidence of the students

  • From this year, the question paper will have 33% more question options to choose as per their confidence in a certain question.

  • The questions will be divided into sub-sections to make a smooth question paper structure. This will enable students to solve the question paper in a systematic manner.

The CBSE has made provisions to prevent malpractice or unfair means. The board will record the timing and movements of centre Superintendent from collecting the question papers to opening the question papers using a secured mobile application. The practical exams have been conducted for both classes. The theory exams for class 12th will commence from February 15 whereas class 10th exams will begin from February 21. The result will be released in the last week of May 2019 for both classes.
