NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Economics exam 2024 today, March 18. Students must carry their admit cards and stationery items required for the exam. They must arrive at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted its Class 12 Economics examination for 3 hours. The Class 12 board exam was held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The CBSE Class 12 Economics paper carries 80 marks in total. The Class 12 Economics question paper is divided into two sections: Section A (Macro Economics) and Section B (Indian Economic Development). The question paper contains 20 multiple choice questions, 4 short answer questions, 6 short answer questions, and 4 long answer questions.

The CBSE Class 12 economics exam was conducted with a total of 80 marks and was categorized into six sections. These sections consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions, which accounted for 20 marks. Also, there were 4 short answer type questions worth 12 marks, 6 short answer type questions worth 24 marks, and 4 long answer type questions worth 24 marks.
The question paper has five sections and 33 questions. All questions are compulsory. There is no overall choice. However, internal choices have been provided in some questions. A student has to attempt only one of the alternatives in such questions.

Last year's CBSE economics exam was a simple and well-balanced paper. Students found the paper moderate difficulty level with a balanced mix of knowledge, analysis and application-based questions. Most of the students were able to complete the paper on time.
Last year, CBSE Class 12th Class economics paper was held on March 17, 2023. A total of 34 questions were asked in the question paper and all questions were compulsory. The paper had two sections: Section A, or Macro Economics, and Section B, or Indian Economic Development.
Students appearing for CBSE Class 12 economics exam 2024 are not allowed to carry gadgets or electronic devices to the exam hall. Candidates are advised to be seated on the seat allotted to them.
Students appearing for CBSE 12th economics exam will have to carry their admit card and photo ID to the exam hall.
