CBSE Class 12 Exam 2024 Live: CBSE 12th Biology paper analysis, answer key, passing marks, result updates

The CBSE will be holding the CBSE Class 12 board exams 2024 till April 2. Here's the complete CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2024 for the upcoming exams. 

• The difficulty level of the paper was moderate. It was designed in such a manner that individuals who have thoroughly studied NCERT would be able to excel. 
• The paper consisted of questions that required practical application and tested the students' problem-solving abilities. The instructions provided were precise and concise, which facilitated easy navigation and comprehension of the paper's requirements.
• Due to the familiarity with the paper pattern, students may have felt confident in their ability to answer the questions. The diverse range of questions provided a comprehensive evaluation of their knowledge and skills.

• Section C was also easy and well-balanced. The question from Evolution was from the Hardy-Weinberg Principle, which may challenge average students.
• Section- D was comparatively easy among all the sections and the questions of this section were the same in all sets. Although there was a mistake regarding the number of blastomeres instead of 3 it should be 32.
• Section E was also easy.

According to Neha Gupta, HOD Biology, Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 BIOLOGY (044) paper was well balanced. As per students, the level of difficulty was moderate. The question paper was a balanced mix of knowledge, analysis, and application-based questions. Most of the students were able to complete the paper well in time. The biology exam was for 70 marks, to be attempted within 3 hours.

The paper was divided into 5 sections (A, B, C, D and E)

CBSE Class 12  Biology exam paper held today contained competency-based questions that made the students apply their acquired knowledge. The level of the paper was moderate. It was prepared in a way that those who have studied NCERT thoroughly will be able to perform well. The paper included practical application-based questions to assess the students' problem-solving skills. The instructions were clear and concise, making it easier for students to navigate through the paper and understand what was expected of them. The students may have felt confident in their ability to answer the questions due to familiarity with the paper pattern. The variety of questions allowed for a comprehensive assessment of their knowledge and skills.

Overall, the paper was well-balanced and favored students who had prepared diligently.

CBSE Class 12 students will write the Tourism, Air-conditioning & refrigeration, and Salesmanship subject exam tomorrow. The Class 12th CBSE exam will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The students can carry the following items in the exam room in transparent pouches:-

• Sugar tablets/Chocolate/Candy
• Fruits like Banana/Apple/Orange
• Snack items like Sandwich and any high protein diet
• Medicines require as per the Doctor's prescription
• Water bottle (500 ml.)
• Glucometer and glucose testing strips
• Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) machine, Flash Glucose
• Monitoring (FGM) machines and/or insulin pumps

The CBSE Class 12th question papers are distributed to students at 10.15 am, allowing them 15 minutes to review and comprehend the paper. The writing portion of the CBSE 12th exam commences at 10:30 am, with the majority of exams taking place from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The level of the biology paper was moderate. MCQs were high-scoring, however, a few subjective questions were tricky and required critical thinking. It was a balanced question paper which was a mix of application and memory-based questions.

This year, CBSE may not publish the list of toppers to prevent unhealthy competition among students.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Biology paper was conducted today, as per initial reviews of students the paper was well-received.

Sujata ,PGT Biology , KIIT World School, Gurugram, said Section- A featured a mix of Objective Type Questions covering both theory and application-based concepts. The final four questions in this section were Assertion and Reason Questions, testing students' comprehension and recall abilities.  Section B contained few direct questions and was relatively easier. Section C presented a blend of theoretical and application-based inquiries, including a few analytical questions of moderate complexity. Section D contains two case based questions, which were easy to solve. Section E incorporated Competency Based Questions emphasizing application and analysis concepts.

The level of  biology paper was moderate. MCQs were high scoring, however, a few subjective questions were tricky and required critical thinking. It was a balanced question paper which was a mix of application and memory-based questions. The questions ranged from simple to a little tricky but were mostly direct and simple. Overall, most questions were directly from the NCERT textbooks, which made it easier for students who had studied the prescribed syllabus thoroughly.

The CBSE 12th board biology exam answer key will be released soon on the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. Students can also cross-check their answers by referring to the answer keys provided by various coaching institutes.

CBSE will conduct a Class 12 Biology exam 2024 tomorrow from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

CBSE Class 12 Biology theory exam will be of 70 marks and practical will be of 30 marks. 

In CBSE Class 12 biology, 'Genetics and Evolution' chapter has the highest weightage of 20%.
