NEW DELHI: Now that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and 12 results 2024 are out, students gear up to take entrance exams to pursue higher studies. Major entrance exams such as NEET UG 2024 for MBBS admission, JEE Main 2024 for BE, BTech admissions, and several state exams for courses like LLB, management have already concluded. Here’s everything CBSE Class 12 students have to know about CBSE supplementary exams, admission process, and popular courses.

The CBSE Board has recorded an overall pass percentage of 87.98%. As per the CBSE 12th results 2024 , 16,21,224 students appeared in the board exam, of which 14,26,420 students cleared the exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), exam conducting body, declared the JEE Main 2024 results for both session 1 and session 2 for admission into BE, BTech, architecture and other related courses last month. Whereas, the NEET UG result date 2024 is yet to be announced by the NTA.
CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam 2024
A total of 24,068 CBSE Class 12 students have scored 95% and above in all subjects this year. In line with the National Education Policy, the board has changed the name of compartment exams to supplementary. It has also decided not to issue merit list to avoid unhealthy competition. In total, 1,22,170 students have been placed in the compartment.
The board announced that it will conduct the Class 12th supplementary exams from July 15 for students who wish to improve their marks in one subject. Moreover, it has also provided facility for students to apply for reverification, photocopy of answer sheets, and revaluation.
As per the schedule announced, the application for verification and photocopy of answer booklets will begin on May 20 and June 4 respectively. Those who wish to request for revaluation should apply on June 9. Students should note that the original Class 12 mark sheet will be distributed from their respective schools.
CUET UG 2024
The NTA will conduct the third-edition of Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) for admission to UG courses in central universities, state universities and other participating institutes from tomorrow, May 15. Students who have already registered for the exam will have to download the CUET UG admit card 2024 from the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
The CUET UG exams 2024 will be held from May 15 to 24 at 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India.

DU admission 2024
Delhi University is one of the top choices for students seeking admission in UG courses. Last year, the first DU CSAS merit list was dominated by CBSE Class 12th students with nearly 72,000 students offered seats in various DU colleges. The second highest number of seat allocation was a mere 2,344 students from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) students.
University of Delhi has been offering admission to its UG courses through CUET score. Therefore, appearing in CUET is mandatory to get admission in DU. All central universities, including Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jawaharlal Nehru University, Central University of Hyderabad (HCU), and other institutes will also admit students through CUET UG scores 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024
Students who have qualified the JEE Main 2024 and secured a rank in the top 2.5 lakh will be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2024 exam conducted for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE Advanced registration 2024 is now closed. The JEE Advanced admit card will be issued on May 17 for the exam scheduled to be held on May 26.
Those students who have failed to apply for entrance exams this year have an option to apply for state-level and institute-level entrance exams. Several students also choose to repeat a year to crack national entrance exams. There are also job opportunities in government and private sectors for Class 12 pass students, which is usually advertised on their respective official websites.
Interestingly, the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2024) for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses also saw the second-highest registration from CBSE board students this year.
