NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed the Supreme Court on September 4, that the CBSE Compartment exam 2020 will be conducted by the end of September 2020.

SC then further instructed CBSE to submit an affidavit by September 10 mentioning the process and details related to holding the CBSE Compartment exams.
CBSE Compartment 2020 Exam Centres Increased
On behalf of CBSE, Advocate Rupesh Kumar told the Bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar, Sanjiv Khanna, and Dinesh Maheshwari that CBSE has increased the number of exam centres to 1,278.
He further added "We have taken a decision that in a class where 40 students could sit, now only 12 will sit. We are taking all precautions."
After asking about the CBSE Compartment exam 2020 date, CBSE responded that they will conduct the compartment exams by the end of September 2020, a notification regarding the same will be released soon.
Counsel for the petitioner stated, "The students will ultimately come in the category of failed students since exams will not be able to be conducted by September and the students will not be able to apply for further studies."
A total of 1,50,198 Class 10 students and 87,651 Class 12 students will appear in the CBSE Compartment exam 2020.
