CBSE Class 12 exams 2021 term 1 will begin from tomorrow in offline mode. The Supreme Court will hear the matter of holding CBSE, CISCE Class 10, 12 exams in hybrid mode on November 18.
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court today adjourned hearing of the plea to conduct CBSE, CISCE Class 10, 12 term 1 board exam 2022 in hybrid mode to November 18, 2021. Six students had moved the apex court seeking an option to appear in Class 10, 12 board exams 2022 in online mode.
However, CBSE will hold the Class 12 term 1 exam 2022 from tomorrow, November 16. Both the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had announced plans to hold the CBSE Class 10, 12 and CISCE Class 10, 12 exams in offline mode.
Earlier, the CISCE gave students an option to appear in online mode and later took a u-turn and announced that the ICSE term 1 exams will be held in offline mode only.
The petitioners also raised their concerns over the possible spread of COVID-19 as board exam 2022 datesheet for major subjects is spread over three weeks.
The senior advocate appearing for the petitioners told the top court, "The exams are going to start from tomorrow. However they are for Hindi etc. We request for urgent hearing. My Ld Friend says that this matter is different," Live Law reported.
The bench today said that “If that’s a separate matter. We’ll consider that” and asked to serve advance copies to standing counsel for CBSE. The apex court adjourned the matter to November 18.
As per CBSE date sheet 2021, the minor exam will be held from tomorrow, November 16, and major subject exam will be held from December 1, 2021, in offline mode. Students will have to fill their response in OMR sheets. To help avoid confusion, the board has recently issued another notice regarding the mock drill and downloading of OMR sheets.
While the CBSE term 1 exam date 2021 Class 10 paper will be held from November 17 for minor subjects.
