NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on Wednesday, launched a practical workbook for mathematics to aid students of Classes 7 to 10 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students can access the workbook through the CBSE’s official website, cbse.nic.in, and through the DIKSHA platform. DIKSHA is an online platform launched by the Ministry of Education to provide relevant learning material to students and teachers.

Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said: “CBSE, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, has launched an exploratory mathematics practice book for learners. Students of classes 7th-10th can access the book for fun-filled, exciting learning at CBSE.”

The Ministry of Home Affairs, in the recent Unlock 5 guidelines, had allowed states to take a decision on reopening schools from October 15. The Ministry of Education has also released guidelines on the precautions that are to be taken by the states that choose to reopen.

However, the ministry also said that online education will be a part of the process.
