CBSE releases a list of compendium courses for students to pursue after 12th

NEW DELHI, MARCH 20: Central Board of Secondary Education has prepared a list of compendium courses in order to help students get information about various course choices after +2. This is an earnest effort of the board to help students while scouting for the right choice of course for pursuing higher education. The Board has included a total of 113 courses and their main motive is to generate enough curiosity in the child to want to explore further on the scope, possibilities, avenues, etc. for each of these courses. Students can also look for other options that go beyond these courses.

They can choose among the courses such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Astronomy And Astrophysics, Automobile Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Bio-Technology Engineering, Ceramics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical, And Electronics Engineering, Electronics And Communication Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Communications And Entertainment, etc. The list is long and can be accessed by visit the official site of CBSE i.e.  http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/index.html for details on each course. Board has provided information about the programmes offered, institutes/universities offering these course and the eligibility criteria.

As per CBSE, there are an estimated 900 universities and over 41,000 colleges in the country providing higher education. The intention of this compendium is to create awareness among the students and to facilitate choosing for the right course.
