CDS 2 Result 2018 for OTA Announced; 140 Men and 55 women qualified

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 2: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of CDS II 2018 for OTA (Officers Training Academy) on August 2, 2019. The result has been announced in the form of PDF for the test conducted on November 18, 2018. The result PDF contains the roll number and names of all the qualified candidates.

As per the result PDF, a total of 195 candidates have qualified provisionally. Among all the qualified candidates, 140 men and 55 women have qualified. To check the result, candidates must visit the official website of the exam authority - upsc.gov.in and click on the result link.

In the result announced, the medical examination of the candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The scorecard of the exam is expected to be released by August 17, 2019 and will be active for 30 days. The scorecard will be released in online mode wherein candidates will be able to download the scorecard using their login credentials.

UPSC conducts CDS exam twice a year to recruit candidates as Commissioned Officers in three defence services - Navy, Air Force, Army and Officers Training Academy. For CDS II 2018, the authority had announced a total of 237 vacancies wherein, 225 was for men and 12 vacancies. However, the authority has selected only 195 candidates against the announced vacancies which is 42 less.
