CDS I application withdrawal facility begins on December 3

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 3: Combined Defence Services (CDS I) application withdrawal facility has begun on December 3, 2018. The last day to withdraw the application form is December 10 (6 pm). Candidates can withdraw their application form online from the official website - http://www.upsc.gov.in/. In order to withdraw CDS I application form 2019, candidates must have access to the registered mobile number and email-id provided at the time of filling the application form.

To withdraw the application form, candidates have to enter the registration id, password, mobile number and email id in the login window. After entering these credentials, OTPs will be sent by UPSC on the registered mobile number and email id. The OTPs will be valid for 30 minutes only and candidates must apply within that 30 minutes or the OTP will expire.

After the final acceptance of the request for online withdrawal of CDS application by UPSC, candidates should take a printout of the authenticated receipt. An auto-generated SMS and email will be sent on candidate’s registered email id and mobile number after the successful completion of withdrawal of application form. It must be noted that once the application has been withdrawn by the candidate, it cannot be revived in future. The application fee will also not be refunded.

In case if any candidate who has not requested for the withdrawal of the application but receives an SMS or email regarding the withdrawal of application must immediately contact UPSC on upscsoap@nic.in. Candidates can only withdraw the successfully filled CDS I application form. The incomplete application form cannot be withdrawn.  

Earlier, CDS I application form 2019 was available from October 31 to November 26. The application form had two parts - I and II. In Part I of application form candidates had to fill basic details whereas in part II candidates had to select the exam centre, upload scanned photograph, signature, select the mode of payment and pay the requisite fee. The application fee for General and OBC candidates was Rs. 200 while female/SC/ST were exempted from fee payment.  

CDS is conducted twice a year for admission to Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers' Training Academy (OTA). There are two stages for the selection process - Written exam and SSB Interview.
