NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 12: The Union Cabinet has approved for the establishment of Central Tribal University in Andhra Pradesh. The University will come up in Relli village of Vizianagaram district, Rs. 834.83 Cr fund has been approved for the university.
Cabinet has also approved Rs. 420 crore for the first phase expenditure towards the establishment of the Central Tribal University.
Union Human Resource Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar making the announcement tweeted, “The new Central Tribal University at Vizianagaram would provide greater access to the tribals into higher education, will help in-depth research into the tribal art, culture, economy”
He further added that the Central Tribal University at Vizianagaram will give a big boost to the backward north coastal areas of the Andhra Pradesh.
