CFA level 1 exam to commence from tomorrow; Check details here

NEW DELHI: The CFA Institute will conduct the CFA level 1 examination from tomorrow, July 18 onwards. The exam window will close on July 26. The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode, be of 4.5 hours duration, and include multiple-choice questions. The exam will be conducted in 400+ locations globally.

Candidates earlier had the option to schedule their exam date for the July exams till May 11 and the rescheduling deadline was June 17.

To help alleviate the inconveniences caused to candidates due to COVID-19, CFA Institute has reduced the exam centre change request fee from USD 250 to USD 25 for all exams in 2021.

Important Dates

CFA level 1 exam pattern

Candidates who will appear in the CFA exam on the scheduled day must go through the exam pattern once before appearing in the exam.

• 180 Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam

• 2 sessions (morning 2.25 hours and evening 2.25 hours)

• No negative marking for wrong answers

Guidelines to follow on exam day

• All candidates must carry their admit cards

• Face mask is mandatory for all candidates

• No personal belonging are allowed

• Candidates will be given whiteboard or erasable writing tablet for use during the exam

• Certain medically necessary items will be allowed only after prior approval

• Only two calculator models are allowed (Texas Instruments BA II Plus (including BA II Plus Professional) & Hewlett Packard 12C (including the HP 12C Platinum, 12C Platinum 25th anniversary edition, 12C 30th anniversary edition, and HP 12C Prestige)

CFA November session registration - Candidates who wish to enrol themselves for November session can register before July 20, 2021.
